After thirty years of selling and building gabled roof, pre-engineered steel buildings, we had an idea. No, it was not to build a better mouse trap. But it was about a better way to light the inside of the buildings we built and sold.

We worked on that idea for ten years, thinking about the design, the use, the benefits to owners and tenants of those buildings. And we took our thoughts to best engineers and designers of skylights whom we could find.

The result was Sunridge skylights and our company, Sunridge Skylights, Ltd. At Sunridge, we manufacture and sell ridgecap skylights for gabled roof, pre-engineered steel buildings. We are located in Edmonton, Alberta, Canada.

In those ten years, we had a lot of conversations with people – people like you – who owned or worked inside of steel buildings. We asked a lot a questions. We found out what worked and what did not work and what their problems and concerns were.

We learned that cost was always an issue. So was the work environment, safety, and security for the building. We learned about the problems in lighting a building with incandescent or florescent lights. We learned about the problems with skylights that had been on the market.
